Got forks stanchions cleaned up via dowel with sand paper roll taped on.
Found wind blew painted fender over to mar one leg, re did that while above 50 F.
2000 grit sanded sliders and primary cover to remove bug poo and condensation oxidation, buffer wheeled em to acceptable shiny worth wiping off and waxing.
Then on turning over primary cover all slick and nice to look at edges it so nicely slickly fell to cement like magic out disappearing finger tips. Dead on peppering not scratches, more like rat shot, about exactly what a stone kicked up does, so will leave it alone like antiqued worm hole furniture instead of sanding from start again.
Maturing process to know I'll never have a contours bike up close : (

I hope there were no old ladies or small children within ear shot after you dropped it.

Ugh, just the ducks and my wife 80 yards away. Truly a revealing hobby to my immaturity but its gets easier each time to settle down and face more repair or acceptance. I so know the polish hazards but its so easy to space out and i wasn't even on the wheel having just decided that was enough and finished wiping off the buffer grime, clank/plink. ----- @%^@^&&@^@ ---
Mostly matured to point its just animal scream wordless noises of emotional pain.
In back of mind is road fates soon after I get Trixie road worthy and worth a 2nd look. Its happened more than once before, why not again.

Steve, that just totally sucks.

I painted a set of tins for my brother's bike a while ago and he put the tank on his workbench and it slid onto the concrete floor DING. Another week's work.
