Norton 961 Specialist / Mechanic ?

Thanks, I missed his previous comment. I had steel liner barrels on my 2013, but they were replaced with Nikasil barrels in 2015 because the liners had dropped causing the head gasket to fail.
 
- The bike does not turn over at all anymore, you can just hear the starter spinning and spinning.
That sounds like the starter relay under the seat. Although, doesn't a relay fail open, not fused closed.
Do 961s have a solenoid? I've seen older bikes with damaged solenoids welded closed that continued to crank the starter until the battery was either drained or disconnected.

That's a lousy way to begin a relationship with a bike!

They use a harley sportster starter. but Im sure he got his answer back in 2022
