this afternoon I visited the Norton factory, well not exactly the factory but rather the service centre with the ecu from my 961 sport mk2 to get the map checked as I have been having some running issues.
This really shows the advantages of buying a low volume bike like the Norton as Ash in service was immediately happy to help, plugging my ecu into another bike and uploading the latest/correct map and explaining that I also had some error codes. There was no charge and we had a good discussion about the bikes in general and mine specifically. Some gorgeous bikes there to look at and a V4 in reception - now I really want one of those!
Suffice to say I came away re-enthused about my Norton - it will probably never be as reliable as a UJM, but it has far more character and from my experience the after sales experience is also great. My sincere thanks to Ash at Norton...
