Norton trouble

Unbelievable... post #633 deleted based on that link.
We can only hope any funds he has hidden are found and he gets a life term in a real prison, not a farcical white collar holiday camp.
Ahh yes, the forged signatures again, this is worth a read as it adds substance to 'forged signatures' I wonder just why this was settled prior to a hearing, read the first part and the judges recommendation.

You're correct, apparently BDO inventoried 4 or 5 Aston Martins... not 6

"“four or five Aston Martins and a couple of Range Rovers” which are claimed to have been used by Norton CEO, Stuart Garner. These have been taken away as they are considered assets of the business."
A usually well-informed source says:
"He sold 2 Astons before Christmas, hope the auditors see that. He also sold the Rotary he went to Bonneville with 4 weeks ago to [...] along with a 1904 Norton/ Minerva , I believe none of them belonged to him anyway. It was a cash deal £200k I believe."

And did he put the money into the company account? What do you think?

No R&D work yet the MK11 came about along with the Domiracer, Dominator, Atlas etc. I am not trying to defend the guy but they were producing bikes and pretty nice ones too and to say there was no R&D, maybe slightly exagerated. Not looking good for Garner though is it

Yes, I was also struggling with that one. It seems this guy walked away from Garner in 2013, so I’m thinking that he’s talking about life at Norton pre 2013 ?

Clearly, the Euro 4 work, the 650s, the Dominators, the V4s, etc all required R&D and therefore some R&D expenditure.

Norton could not have spent ‘nothing’ on R&D, that’s just not possible.

Sounds like a quality administration team if they can't decide if they can count 4 or 5 cars???

Because it is alleged that SG sold one recently - even though registered to the company. I appreciate that this is heresay and lots of claims are being made which will need clarification as the case progresses.
There is a lot of smoke and mirrors which seem to surround the dealings that SG has been involved with - moving money around various companies, mortgaging against assets that he does not own etc..
I get where you are coming from in relation to “proof” guess we will have to wait for the truth.

Maybe listed it as part of the £160K loan. I guess there is some sort of trail even if not an easy paper trail. It's important that nothing has been squirreled away this past 18 months. Anyone aware of what salary he was on, SG that is

You joined in Sept 2018 and your only posts in all that time are all related to this BDO report, that's 14 posts since Friday all casting doubt on BDO's report.

I am not casting doubt on BDOs report..as I have not seen it...I am casting doubt on the way the press report what is supposedly in it...what has when I joined this forum got to do with anything?

Counting that which is not in sight and ownership of which is in dispute, is not as simple as counting a row of cars.

It’s hard to believe you really needed to be told that.

What is your interest in the disgraceful case of Norton?

Who is disputing ownership?

Are you suggesting the administrators are just guessing how many cars were owned by norton?
It will all be in the accounts surely, and therefore easy to decide if its 4, 5 or 6?

It's hard to believe you really need to be told that!

My interest is simply that people get the facts not glorified versions of it.

What is your interest in my interest?

Could that not be contracted out to say Porche, Lotus, or Joe's Garage and Stuart Tiller not be aware of it?

The whole site is getting interested in you

Why?...I simply asked one question which was why did the press report that BDO claimed that Norton owned 6 Aston Martins?..A statement which I dont believe is contained in BDOs report...I asked for proof of this statement in BDOs report as many people seemed to be quoting it...but as I imagined no proof has ever materialised...

Who knows about the last part, back to you now, why so concerned if not fixated on press report accuracy??

They will find out when they communicate with DVLA or find the V5 documents.

DVLA (Government licensing office) “keepership” and actual ownership are not always the same thing.

Things like that lead to disputes when firms are sequestered.
