Hi I own a 57 Es2 500 single and am wondering which way to go with the electrics and the best way to go about doing it .should I stay 6 volt or up grade to 12volts .Should I bin the old regulater and fit a 12 volt regulater change bulbs and battery job done or use a 6 volt solid state regulater and fit 6v halagen bulbs ? would the engine spin fast enough to spin the dynamo up to 12volts out put. ok on long runs but round town may be not .Any ideas......Cheers gaz

ES2 500 a sweet machine! try and keep it original 6v if you can it will be worth a lot more to you at the end of the day. even if you cant see the road! No not that bad really my 6v BSA is very reialable and gives very few problems. Keep the battery in good condition they dont last long if sitting around for long periods.

Cheers :)
