Norton 961 Alternate parts list.

Yes. I looked for them and it looks like they don’t exist anymore
Hope this helps. I took my seat unit to this company and they made a mould. Then he made a carbon fibre seat unit from it.
It’s painted white at the moment but he can do a good job of lining up the weave etc.

Thanks Mak.
That white seat is Carbon fiber painted white?
What is the price for that?

Guys, there are very few threads that are this important, and not to put a damper on the chit chat but this thread really is for "parts" and the posts should be about what alternate parts work or what members have found.

Is that "Red" China, or Taiwan?
OYA Carbon is China.
The engine castings etc were from Taiwan though.
The SS I currently have in, has UK made carbon...and where it may be thicker feeling, and have the correct double thickness front lip to the front mudguard...the overall finish to the clear coat and also in the weave itself, imo aint as good as the Chinese stuff.

I talked with OYA, they said that the mold belongs to Norton and they can’t and will not use this mold for others.

Great I ended up with a curly clutch lever when I stopped to rescue my wife who had just fell off her Himalayan just cos she’s short I jumped off that quickly and didn’t have the stand down fully by the time I realised it was beyond the point of noe return… bloody heavy bike and with another 50kg loaded in gear luck that was all

And your wife?

Priorities Cliffa, priorities!! It is a Norton!
I must confess I did right the Norton first, lucky thre was a few of us there I don’t think I would have got it up on my own, then straight onto hers but she was fine it was just a slow one doing a u turn someone stopped in front of her suddenly and as she’s short it was all a bit much for her tippy toes . Looking at a bike that’s a bit closer to the ground for her, she’s great on the road but stopping suddenly or on uneven ground is an issue.
