Yes Swooshdave ,who would waste so much yellow paint ,no wonder it's for sale... plus it's leaking oil !

I can pretty much guarantee that there is no farm implement in the showroom that any of us would like to have more than that.

Too Kewl 8) So ... what is the price on it ??? ( I just gots to know ) Or is it "if you have to ask, you can't afford it."

I don't think he said it was actually for sale.

Wonderful construction! Thanx.
If ya read between the lines of the posters, they are poking you on how good a mostly all yellar Cdo is. Especially if all the inspection covers installed : (

Looks like the real deal to me, not a replica. I could confirm given frame/engine number.

Does real Production Racer have an ammeter ? I thought choke was on the middle of the dummy handlebar , that's really minor deviance if any.

Anyway even if a replica it looks really great ( just missing some tarmac dust to be really my taste)

I have a real production racer and it does have this peculiar arrangement. Choke lever at side of handlebar is also correct. All details bar a couple of very small details that were obviously modified when the bike was restored are totally authentic, including details the replica builders don't normally even know about.
You can see my youngest daughter Christine aboard mine on the Salzburgring in 2009: http://www.andover-norton.co.uk/News.htm

Joe, just one question, the kick start lever does not seem to be correct, as compared to my 40 year old example, as the lever on mine just grazed the gearbox inspection plate, is this one correct? I no longer have the lever or the cycle.

JT,
Kickstart lever looks exactly like mine- mine is equally far off. They are special long ones that go straight up rather than behing the kickstart axle. Wish we still had the forging tool...... if, indeed, it was a forging. The standard lever is (well, ours- not the Indian ones!), but for just over 100 bikes in three years a tool seems too costly.
Joe

Richard Negus just told me how the kickstart levers were made- thanks Richard! We could now make them if somebody needs them.
