I was at a trade show this week and the Nord-lock folks had a booth. Pretty interesting device that appears to work as advertised. They said some of the high end V-twin builders use them to keep crap from falling off the bikes. www.nord-lock.com
Some of the data he has on coefficient of friction is interesting also. It shows that using a thread locker actually increases the friction. Makes sense if you think about it. Loctite feels slick but it's an adhesive and if you put a lot of contact pressure on it, like between threads, it tries to stick.
