Does it effect the performance of the ignition system if you run the non digital Boyer (with stock coils or single double ended coil) with resistor plugs / caps or non resistor plug / caps?

What happens if you run with both resistor caps & resistor plugs? Too much resistance?

Not wishing to start a Boyer flame war, but I wasn't able to get either unresistor plugs & unresistor caps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Oh ugh, flash backs on my analog boyer ere, This baseline Boyer can spark just fine any R combo you happen to end up with. Only thing that happens if no R in plugs or caps or leads is your LED signals will blink on and off as normal but during on period will flash like a timing light. Radios near by may click and pop with the rpms. If ya adding R in all the parts it may not start as easy is all and may over heat the thing over time as its got to work hard to build voltage to push through the extra uneeded R. The plain jane Boyer will charge and fire dual Lucas 6 v coils wired per instructions and daul coil pack too. Main coil issue is the total ohm R level of the coil that suits you model Boyer, I don't remember the values anymore, should be easy to find if no one pipes up real soon.

My Ms Peel black box boyer was saved at a rally by non R plugs scrapped out someones tool box.
Non R plugs in this basic box are a non issue to your Commando, only maybe other's RF sensitive items, maybe pacemakers and homeland drone missile targeting sensors?

I made my own wires from a MSD Streetfire kit, they provide RFI protection but are only 500 ohms/foot, they work great with my Boyer and non resistor plugs and can do three more bikes since I got a V8 kit....also chose them because the kit came with a clever crimping tool
