My 74 mark II paint job is done.

Brent from Vintage Vendors did a splendid job and it motivates me to get this bike back on the road.

Enjoy,

("Gus" style)

Gday skyguyz, "splendid job" on that tin ware is an under statement! Did you pick his brain for the method in painting it?
Looks to me like vinyl decals with numerous coats of clear over the top then sanded back to give that smooth as glass finish?
Paintwork like that would motivate every viewer!

There are no decals there. If you have read Brent's posts, everything is paint on paint, with vinyl as a stencil. Really superb work.

Damn it. You people make me want to send my "immaculate" (fack you, eBay) interstate parts off to Brent for a REAL paint job. Alas, my wife would probably (definitely) murder me. As usual, brent's work is gorgeous...

Something’s, like love and country, are worth dying for. Tell her you wanted something as beautiful as her, when you ride.

I tried that. She's not falling for it. :(

I'd love to watch him paint, or at least pick his brain over a couple beers. As a part time painter myself I've had poor luck doing stencils. I always seem to get ragged edges no matter how carefully I pull them away.

Lovely work.
