New Paint on EMGO tank

Just got my tank and side covers back from Brent at Vintage Vendor. Gorgeous! Amazing how he transformed that rough and ragged EMGO tank into a thing of beauty. Now to install and finally go riding!

Looks great. I had Brent paint my steel tank and side covers a couple of years ago and am very pleased with his work as well. I was looking for a shade of yellow that was not orange-y like many Commandos that I've seen. I bought a yellow '72 Combat new back in the day and it was a bright yellow as I recalled. Brent said that he had worked with an owner previously with the same issue and had spent a lot of time going back and forth until they came up with the right color and that's what he's used ever since. I also like the fact that he doesn't use decals but rather paints the script using decals to mask over an underlying script color, shoots the main color, and then carefully removes the decals and buffs everything smooth.
