Beautiful bike, Yves. Is it 750, or larger displacement?

Ken

It is a 850, this engine start his live as police bike in Africa, Liberia or Nigeria, one of my friends buy the bike from a Police general for a few beers.
I use this MK2A a few years till I find the bare Seeley frame, I keep the engine from the Commando, I sale the frame frm the Commando and start restoring the Seeley.
There is not to mutch left from the original engine, only the crankshaft, cylinder head, and some covers, no more...

Yves, Awesome looking and potent performing. Sets a bench mark in clean brute.
Regardless of grandpual spreading carbonfiber rumors of me making false claims 60 rwhp should be good for close to 140 if geared for it below red line. But with a OEM cast iron flywheel in there, wise not to press rpm luck and just enjoy the snot of its torque like you do.

What BF did you settle on and can you feel the valve train besides the primary oscillation?

The gauge dash looks like steam punk Buck Rogers art Deco to me, Yum.

What's on the headers than stay shinny black or is that before using?

Hi Hobot,
Don't forget that I speak a poor english and that I will not understand words like "clean brute" of course I can guest....
140 miles/h seam to be closer to the reality, my gearing is 23 / 38 with OEM crankgear and clutch gear and a TTI gear box
The gauge dash keep me hours buzy, I did everithing by hand, the thing is fully mounted on silentblocks
I made also a lot of other things my self like the engine mounting plates (8 mm aircraft alloy) and I dont worry if I have to spend 60 hours to be happy with the final result
The full exaust system is black chromed, already 5 years old (I had this exaust alredy on my Commando before putting it on the Seeley)
I saw a post about Black chrome, I must tell you that only a few platters in the world are able to do black chrome from high quality, and my platter is one of them, good black chrome is as hard as normal chrome and will not scratch or burn. of course he will keep the chemical composition of the product "top secret"
I must say that my platter is already the third generation in the bussiness of chroming and the owner teach me how to polish alloy and give me all the tricks that he receive from is dad and and grand dad and I wish to tell you that there is more to know as what you receive as explaination when you buy a polishing kit

Cheers, yves

Hehe, By "Clean Brute" I mean a clean machine that packs a punch, like a Mafiosi in an expensive suit with 45 cal submachine gun in violin case.

TT trany huh, bullet proof to take the thrust to 140's then. I'm afraid I too must save up for one to ever give WOT on my Peel project. I already know I'll be rough riding and dropping mine so rattle can paint buffed out is most appropriate to me.

i snagged 6061 TS allow cradle in 5/16" plate with spindle trap bolts build in. I had 7/16" aircraft bolts bored through for more endurance to the beatings.

I'm tickled to hear you wring its neck out and find peace in 82% BF. Hope you can find a safe place with a GPS or digital speedo to report a ski high reading.

How much does your beauty weigh wet or dry? Make me squirm some more on your excessive success please.

Hi Hobot, thx to explain me "Clean Brute" I was going 20 years on a row to the States ( World Finals Jet Ski at Lake Havazu City AZ) and I still don't understood some typical US words, on a other way I speak 5 different linguishes and that was very helpfull in my life

About a new crank; wat's the good choice? A lite one from Maney or a more heavy one piece one from Nourish?? Or maybe I would ask the german specialist Hoeckle to make me a "one off" like they did for my 4 World titel wining Jet ski, the Hoeckle live three time longer as any other brand
I will take a close look about crank on this forum
Top speed is not that important to me, mid range and bottom power and of course the roadholding, that must be OK. Few years a go I was owning a Yam R7 superbike with the full factory kit on it, once I was pushing it to over 300/kmh and that give me no particular satisfaction.

I never weight the bike, I guest it must be between 140 / 150 KG?? (I must lost 20 kg on my body first)

I wish to keep the engine at one piece, I like to mutch riding to open the engine every week for repair
Cheers Yves

Stick around here long enough and he'll pick up a 6th language... "hobotese".

I read through hobot's tomes as fast as I can. Seems to make more sense that way.
