Nice job! I like the black on the fenders. I am just finishing my 75'. Mine looked like yours only add a coat of tar on everything! Before pic and after

It has spark for the first time in 6yrs.

Finally got the electrical completed. I decided to make up my own harness, eliminating all the non-essentials. I did screw up a little though. I realized that the spot I was planning on tucking all the connections in the battery tray will be too visible, so I had to move them to the rear. No big deal, but took my nice, neat wiring and has it looking less than perfect. Maybe next winter i'll tidy it up.

Next up is the fuel system. I believe I have everything I need for the carbs, just need to clean up and install.

Won't have too much time in the next few weeks though, sturgeon spearing season is here. I'll spend most of my free time on the ice stairing down a dark hole.

What is the plan for the Featherbed in the background, I am after a rolling frame? PM if you would like to discuss it
Regards Mike

Looks great. Why did tyou paint the fenders?

I just never really liked the look of the chrome fenders, and the plating was in rough shape on these. If they were in great shape I may have kept them bright, but what the hell, I was already at the paint shop.

Got it running this morning after a lot of kicking. Little tinkering left to do, but at least I know what it sounds like now.

Hopefully it'll warm up enough to take the first ride this week.

Amazingly nice bike hh76 you must have spent hours & hours on it & it's well worth the effort! In your defence Brent every time I see a great paint job on this forum I allmost just assume you did it.

Wives...I get about the same reaction from mine. But at least she lets me play on what I want to. The bike is looking good and so is the mancave!

there is a double meaning in that somewhere :!: 8) :x

How's this for a kick in the crotch. After a couple of days of fine tuning, I got the bike ready to ride. It is about the most perfect riding weather, 75, and bright sun. I listened to motorcycles riding by all day until I finally couldn't take it anymore, the Norton was going for its first ride.

Grab my helmet and gloves, head to the garage, and figure, one last, quick check to make sure I didn't leave anything loose when balancing the carbs. First thing I check is the bowl drains, snap! one breaks. First ride will have to wait till next week.
