This is the first test run of the 5 litre V Twin engine based on two Pratt & Whitney R1340 aircraft cylinders, all other parts are hand made including the crankshaft, con rods and crankcase wooden moulds, the crankcases were then cast in aluminium. The engine runs a dry sump with twin pumps, twin SU carbs, points ignition with manual advance / retard and twin plugs per head.
theres a ' home made ' parrallel twin 900 here : http://thekneeslider.com/tangeras-verks ... -to-metal/
NO , Its Not Plastic !
http://thekneeslider.com/building-a-mot ... ct-update/Unlike the old school cut and weld, re-cut and re-weld builders, the 21st century process enables a designer to create everything on a computer screen, including the engine, and then, with the addition of 3D printing, create patterns for molds to cast the components. Combined with CNC machining, a builder today can create custom motorcycles he could only dream of creating in the past, unless he worked for a large manufacturer.

Crikey . They did that did they . I thought it was the computer nerds who couldnt get anytthing right , let alone on the first attempt . :x
Now Honda does some nasty 500 parrallel twin formular race bike , and are developing a 1000 parrallel twin , alledgedly . It hardly worth the effort .
and theyve done a 1000 triple car V tec turbo snotmobile - The back sheds finding it hard to compette . Somewhat dispiritting . :?
nuther flight of fancey .
Though Bugattis obviously wernt built by computors .
