I spent some time today preparing another 50 of my 1/2" /Lucas switchblock mastercylinders and in doing so
I remembered Dave's comment "How far is that lever from the grip, it looks to be a meter or two..."
so just to confirm, I measured the distance on my 72 and one of the batch of 50, the distance was identical.
Dave, even some of us small time manufacturers put a lot of thought and effort into producing our products
to please the masses, of course we can never please everyone.
I thankyou for your occasional "comments" as I take them as constructive criticism because what is obvious to some is not always obvious to all. sometimes us manufacturers take for granted that the finer or technical details of our products are automatically accepted by the buying public thinking they know what we are doing.
But keeping us on our toes ensures good end products , and I thank you for that.

It just looked like it was far away, but the when I looked at my bike it looked similar. It goes to show that the perspective in photos can be deceiving. It might also be the way the master cylinder is perched.

When you are developing a new product you want as much feedback as possible. Its your job to disseminated through it to see if you need to change anything.

Thanks for checking that, looking good!

Caliper colors, the pics are for color determination only polished alloy, black, silver and gold, discs gold only.

They are all striking but I like the 1st color scheme the most and likely the most labor costly.

well the polished one will only need a quick rub with a bit of California Custom Purple polish every now and then, the gloss black one will show the dust, the Gold and Silver are also gloss but wont show the dust, just a wipe with a damp rag should suffice. at least there is a choice.

Beautiful work Don, thanks for sharing :D Just curious though, what is the "round thing" where the other fender stay would mount to the rear of the slider ???

To me maddass's kit looks the Brit Iron bussiness and to only require a rag wiping skill level like the handy TV mechanics is my kind of maintenance level. Polished Al shapes might be the most signature high light of Brit Iron vs the rest of the world painted over dull stamped out surfaces.

the round thing? I think you mean the ears for the fender stays, The rear one is cast twice as thick meaning it protrudes out further, this is so the new fender stay when fitted clears the caliper, it wont be noticeable when the lower fender stay is fitted, I have not finished production of these thats why its not in the pics, the pics are
just to show color options ,but thanks for askin, others probably wondered to.
