It could be better with a silentbloc bush on each of the Z plates picking up the ends of the swing arm spindle . - What sort of a bike is it when the handling depends on the head steady ?

Can I ask you a question? How long can you ride that rigid mounted engined bike before your hands are numb and your feet hurt? On my BSA Hornet, my hands would get numb all the time...on my old Sportster too...could never do that today. Just too old to take the beating.

I rode my Atlas coast to coast & back..... 12 hours in the saddle per day.....but I was 26 back then.

best cruising speed was 60 .... vibes were not bad and fuel economy was reasonably good. At 70, vibes came on, fuel economy went into the gutter, and holding on against the wind was tiring. I found at the end of the day, I could make as many miles at 60 mph, as I could at 70, due to less frequent fuel stops, and I wasn't as beat up.

I agree....too old to do that today...
