The hand grips I'm using are aftermarket original styling, and while they look great the throttle will slip in a sweaty hand. It's rather tiring after a while. Any suggestions for nice grips on a Commando? Stock 7/8 bars with Amal throttle.

Thanks

I use the Pro Grip 699 "superbike" grips that I had on my Ducati's and like them a lot on the Commando as well.

There are quite a few options and everyone has their own tastes. I used Renthal grips on my Manx. I think I even have a variation of Renthal's on my Commando. The sport grips look like this:

I like the Brevettata Grantourismo. I had a set on my bike when I got it and liked them a lot. Not hard like the originals, very soft and the fit in the hand like well you know what. They certainly don't look like originals though.

Not for my '69 though. They had hard straight grips. I don't know what the original poster had, he didn't mention his year.

Go onto the Akront website and look at the Tommaselli grips. Very nice, they've got some great headlamp brackets as well.

Cheers.
