Hi All,
I have been researching the numbers of a Norton N15CS I am considering purchasing and would really appreciate further help to confirm what I think. Basically it looks like a late 1966/7 bike and the gearbox is a Norton not a Matchless. As I understand it the frame and engine numbers should match but not necessarily the gearbox.
The Frame and Engine are matching numbers. 120823
Gearbox is NA15690G
Do these numbers look correct and if so what year would you expect the bike to of been built?
Further more, where could I get official conformation of the bikes origins?
Thanks for any and all help which as always is very much appreciated. I am no Norton expert and am relying very much on my own judgement. I have owned a 1976 Commando Mk3 since June this year and love it to bits. Never had a Norton or classic bike before but now hooked and hence looking for another Norton to put an even wider grin on my face
Regards
Phil
