Hello forum,
Alright, first let me introduce myself to some degree;
I'm 47 years old, have been riding motorcycles since I was 14. I started with dirt bikes. My first bike was a Bultaco 250 Pursang, that I bought not running, and had a first class blast of a learning experience, first wrenching on, and then riding.
I've had many bikes since then. The jewel of them all is my '74 Norton 850 commando,(ROADSTER) which I aquired some 25 years ago from a friend whom I once worked for at a British only auto shop in the mid-atlantic region of the U.S.
It was a rat when I got it, and since then I have spent a considerable amount of blood, and treasure, bringing it to a state that I consider to be very respectable, not totally stock, but with some nice mods.
I joined this forum, because it seems to be the best place to gain knowledge not yet obtained, locate parts, or just swap good stories about these cantankerous(?) old bikes that few others understand, outside of owning one, or three.
When I get a grip on the picture deal, I'll post.
I'm sure I left this hanging, so if anyone has any questions ,feed in.
Thanks,
Snortin' Norton
