On the right side there is a thin steel plate that fits over the cush drive shock absorber rubbers. It really makes a tinny rattling sound. What is it, why and what for?
It prevents the cush rubbers from either dropping or being pushed too far during assembly and may also prevent them being squeezed into the voids in the hub "cone".
