I cant believe its gone from a big pile of bits on the floor to this. This rebuild has been a challenge as so much was missing, but I think I am almost there, well its getting exciting anyway:

Cheers

Looking good, hope you make a video of the first start.

Very nice Jerry, I had to put some shades on to look at the photos!

What head steady is that? Got any photos looking down on the head steady?

Very nice Jerry. I bet CNW head steady.

Beat me to it Jim.

My wife takes the credit for the clutch. The first one built was so she could ride her Commando. She never could get the feel for the stock clutch after riding her Beemer. Jim

Quick question: what are the 2 threaded holes for on the front of the head steady?

Cheers - jerry

They can be used to mount the MK3 spring. It would add some support and make the front iso rubbers last a little longer. Jim

That's an awesome looking headsteady Jim. I'm putting one on my wish list.

Thanks for the photo!

. And +1 on the hyd clutch and breather too. Man I need a better paying job :D

Thanks for the good words. When I won the ebay bid, i had no idea I was going to get carried away like this. Its an obsession. It has cost a fortune and taken a lot of my time. I am going to rebuild a moped next (when I can afford it) so I can buzz around Fullerton, where I live..

I just got my header pipes from Rabers. They are non balance pipe and very good quality. They were $68 each. They are only loosely tightened, but look at photos. I am happy with how they are going to tuck in and the quality.

Jerry,
I had a brand new 1974 Blue Strip, and it NEVER looked that good! My Stetson is off to you!
