Does anyone know where one can find the rectangular mirror that came on the MK 3
I checked a few places and it seems Andover only supplies the teardrop shape

I still have the "frosted" original but due to the metal tucked trim it requires special tin smith tools to replace without damage

I had wondered also about those rectangular mirrors.

The mirrors that came on my '72 look like that picture also. I took them off as soon as I got the bike home. Will see if I can still find them. What do you mean by "frosted"? I think these are aluminum.

I meant the reflective material behind mirror glass has discolored so it shows a hazed image

I've got the same mirrors with the same issue. The reflective glass looks faded. Time to replace.

Thanks for link but it isnt quite the exact shape

I am looking for a dead on match to original
I am only and original owner of my MK 3 so I am trying to keep its outer appearance like when I bought it
I am also in the NW of the US so a US tranaction would be preferred
Thanks all for input

check with Raber's in San Jose. http://www.rabers.com I just bought a pair of Taiwan copies that are pretty good for around $20.
Is their website down? I just tried searching for any combination of mirrors (i'd like to find a better set also) and got 0 results

I went onto Rabers and went to a link to submit the part # and got the mirror w/o a pic showing about $20

The part # is 06-4102
I will call them to get a better description
This may work
Many Thanks to all

So, it says there the originals were stainless.

Wonder who made those.... ?

The original Commando mirrors were TEX 'Viewmaster', and yes, the mirror heads were stainless steel.
Remarkably, this British company (TEX Automotive Ltd.) is still in existence, and still making classic car rear view mirrors!

Their "B head" replacement mirror glass looks as if it could be the same size and shape as the Commando mirror!

A good glass shop can replace the mirror on your existing RVM, had it done years ago
