Lucas K2F ignition housing , Tri Spark / Pazon Ignition

Good evening,

Does anyone ever installed a TriSpark or Pazon ignition in a K2FIH ignition housing? Will that work smoothly?

I've seen an aftermarket alloy body, and often wondered if they make those because the magneto housing (and drive) WON'T work?

The OD of the Pazon disc is to big at 68 mm, it could be reduced down to 50 mm OD (and secure it somehow) then you might get it inside the main body (64 mm outside) with some crafty engineering.

I had thought about this with a K2FC which has a one piece main body, is the K2FIH in two pieces ? , if so it might be a straight forward mod if you can do it yourself.
If a Pazon wheel could be modified to fit via an OD reduction (50 mm being the minimum) 'perhaps the inner body could be filled with modern epoxy and that could be machined to take support bearings for the shaft and rotor, the outer face holding the disc to retain an original look with modern components.
Of course on the generator models it might be easier with a belt drive and crankshaft mounted ignition.

I looked at doing this a Pazon system using the trigger unit that fits the distributer as the trigger unit for them is smaller, designed all the bits and started thinking about Pazon Smartfire crank triggered unit so went that way, machining was a lot easier, fits nicely and so far all good. I have posted information on my 650SS Build.
I put the shell of the magneto back in place with no internals.

If this is a K2FIH, it looks like it comes with Wassell/Vape ignition fitted. Is there something stopping you using that?

the Pazon surefire / boyer will not fit the K2F1H housing without machining out material , it has been designed to fit the Wassell unit which has a billet stator plate
