However, here is a funny story. My ma worked in a doctors office shortly after we moved to Arizona in the late '70's. Arizona did and still does allow people to carry guns openly (now concealed, too) with no permits. So one day this big dude comes in to get his knee looked after and he has two big old pistols in belt holsters, boots, colors, the whole deal. My ma has never been one to mince words, so she asks this guy why he needs to wear guns in the much less wild west of the 1970's. His replay was on the lines of, Well lady, I ride a bike. I always hear about and know guys that got hit by cars and trucks on their bikes because the driver never saw them. Folks might not see my bike, but they sure see my guns and stay away from me.
She told me that after I moved to Arizona from Cali to stay with them for awhile. I had just gotten hit and run on a '70 Commando.
Haven't rode a bike in years because that spooked me. (And there are a lot of Arizona drivers that are really, really, really bad.) But I found a '74 Roadster basket case that I am slowly restoring. I may ask for advice from time to time here.
I suppose a Ruger .357 would be pretty loud...
