K&N air filters for 35mm Keihin FCRS?

A lot of guys seem to believe that inlets and exhausts are about gas flow. I would say one thing - sound waves do not like going around corners, and in a port they do not behave like laminar flow. The shape of a supersonic jet aircraft fuselage is not always what might be expected. A Norton Commando cylinder head might work better if it was on back to front.

I don't know if the still offer the service but K&N used to make specials. I had a filter made for a twin 35mm Mk2 Amal set up a long time ago.

I've had the FCRs off a couple more times in the past week or so (to replace the 140 main jets with 145s - winter in Boston now so won't be starting or running it for a while to see what that accomplished). Getting better at it, but I still find the ONLY way to get them on is with the manifolds/intake runners and K&Ns already attached to the carbs, then laboriously working the alen heads that attach the manifolds (one flat at a time in the case of the inners - not a lot of room for an allen wrench).
