Just rebuilt my engine, but it won't idle!

Hello.. My '71 commando just had a complete engine rebuild, I have a 34mm mikuni and a boyer electronic ignition and an andrews dual output coil. I got the bike started, but it does not idle, it just steadily raises through the rpm range. I'm was wondering what could do this? And how could I fix this?

If the revs are rising on their own then probably an air leak on the induction side.

You may well have trouble getting a newly built, tight engine to tick-over consistently. I would consider it normal to set the tick-over a fraction high to start with.

Yes, I thought it was an air leak also, just checking to make sure. Thanks.
