I suggest Norton twins still have potential, however they are difficult to come to grips with. There needs to be a race class for them which is a level playing field. It would need to preclude four valves per cylinder and water-cooling. I have never had the opportunity to race against a bevel Ducati or a Harley Sportster. A Japanese V twin might be interesting.

I have never been interested in racing four cylinder bikes or two-strokes - they do not provide as much enjoyment. A Commando-based bike is much more fun. Bevel Ducatis are probably too expensive, but a Monster could be good.
