Hi folks,PhillySkip here. Thanks for allowing me access to the forum. I'm a retired school teacher and life long gearhead and "Brit Bike" enthusiast. As a hobby, I've been rebuilding , restoring, and riding Triumphs for about the last 15 years. About a year ago I was given a 72 "non Combat" Commando in very rough shape as it had been sitting outside for at least 20 years. Every bit and piece had to be gone thru as the bike was a mess. I do all of my own work and proud to say that the bike is coming out beautifully. I'm not rebuilding it to stock specification. I'm building it to my liking. I've been documenting the build and have lots of pics if anyone is interested. I'm presently waiting for some parts to come back from the powdercoaters/painters. Also waiting on new stainless spokes and nipples so I can lace up an new set of wheels. I'm not bashful and enjoying exchanging info with other enthusiasts......Cheers......PhillySkip

Welcome! Really nice looking build there.

I'm going to go way out on a limb here and say you either are passionate about cheese steak sandwiches or you live in the Philadelphia area :P

No ,not at all....taught kids from 5th grade to 8th grade here in the Philly Public School all different subjects depending on where they needed an experienced teacher . I taught for 37 years before retirement.
