Inaugural 100/100/100 ride - 4/10/2013

A new suggestion - make up for the age shortfall by achieving the appropriate additional MPH above 100!

IT'S JUST A SUGGESTION, of course I would never encourage hooliganism...

Just wondering - was anybody else silly enough to rise to this "challenge"? I had a beautiful ride out this morning - from my home in the Adelaide Hills, down through the Fleurieu Peninsula to the 19th and early 20th century paddle steamer port of Goolwa. Superb Autumn (Fall for the Americans) day!!
Anyway:
I was born in August 1951 (61years and 8 months)
The bike was born in August 1974 (38years and 8 months)
Combined age: 100 years and 4 months.
Below I have before and after shots of the speedo:

Inaugural 100/100/100 ride - 4/10/2013

Inaugural 100/100/100 ride - 4/10/2013

As Hobot points out in a previous post, it is the sort of ride undertaken on a regular basis - I don't think I have ever done before and after shots of the speedo, however - that would be just too silly!!

Cheers,
Dave

Now Dave's got it right, ride our tails off while turning our mileage clocks backwards! Nortons of course need a 5050 club ride.
Minimum total of days spent fixing plus money spent to go 50 miles at 50 mph. Getting out on restored antiques gives many on lookers a rush and flash backs almost a good as ours in our old saddles. i've not fixed Trixies speed cable so runing around is essentially timeless for us.

Well today's my Birthday but I'm only 52, the Norton is a 73 BUT my BSA is a 68 thus leaving me only (3) years short so the combined cc's of a 850 + a 441 = 1,291 and that's more then the 1,096 days of the short (3) years so that combined with April 10th being my B-Day tells me I qualify!!! Now I just need to leave work 120 minuets early so I can go put the BSA's pipe back on & go ride that 100 miles!! On 2nd thought,,, maybe it should be 50-50-50!!! 100 miles on a 1968. 441 is a bit much at 52!!!

Well, I totally blanked out due to having received a big batch of cad plated hardware that needed to go on 3 client builds, so maybe I'll do a 101/101/101 tomorrow.
