Could have two categories on this one, a bike u bought with your heart & the other was bought with your head ( brain ,sensibility hat on )If you were in the market for a new bike what would it be and why.
Steve - I don't believe you used your head with either of those selections - definitely heart with both. Two hearts?Heart - Norton Commando 750 (black with gold pin stripe); I’d like the set. 1967 and 2017
Head - Norton Dominator Naked - f@#k that thing is beutiful. No other reason except that I think that it will probably become a real classic and I aim to grow old disgracefully!!!! “It’s better to burn out than fade away!”

The new 2019 Triumph Rocket 111 if it's as cool as the pictures. Why!!!. I have a Tiny Penis.
Or just maybe a Dominator. Why!!!. Because as well as a Tiny Penis, I'm a Romantic Masochist.
I will probably buy a new Triumph Speed Twin when I recover from the massive government tax bill this year.
The SpdTwn looks like a great fun/hooligan bike, and if it's anything like my 2006 Bonneville, as reliable as a cast iron stove.
What I would like to buy is either a trellis framed 961 Commando.
Look at all the room behind the cylinders for a supercharger.

Or a new Britten.

Or an Irving-Vincent 1300

Incidentally, anyone who buys a Norton, any Norton, and continues to own it would qualify as a masochist.
No need to restate the obvious.
Now you’re talking!!!why not shoot for the moon- Vincent Black Shadow
When I go to the new bike shows the only booth that has anything interesting for me is the Triumph display.
It's worth noting that Triumph is having huge growth in sales while many others, including Harley, are slumping or stagnating.
Triumph seems to be doing it right at the moment.

Yes, seems that Triumph identifies a niche or style that will appeal to a market segment, then builds a model to fit.
So many different 900 twin models, and looks like the 1200 is going the same way.
I came close to buying the standard Thrux, but wanted normal handlebars.
Then Triumph introduced the Speed Twin - T120 style tank, mag wheels, dual Brembos.
SCHWING!
If I hadn't been raped by the IRS this month, I would have bought one already.
