I bought a Dominator

If you put on the motorad pipes or the megaphone, you will have to remap the ecu to accommodate the freeer flowing exhaust. Regarding aluminum tanks, the brushed aluminum one looks the radder of the two and will not show belt buckle scratches like the polished one will. Price is the same for either one. I belief fuel capacity is essentially the same for plastic or aluminum.

Maiden voyage pic. Started on first attempt and we did 22 trouble free miles through Queens and Brooklyn. Confined to 3500 RPM for the current break in period so cant comment on top speed or full on power. Very impressed with the build quality. So easy to ride, plenty of poke, no missed shifts and powerful brakes. Still not sure about the signals or the mirrors. May change those down the road. One thing thats definitely going is the license plate bracket once I get my inspection sticker.

I have CRG lane splitter mirrors on my Commando sf and will also add them to my Dominator Naked. The quality of the CRG Mirrors are second to none!

Can you tell me how the dominator seat feels? I have a Naked on order and just received my vin number today. I've never seen or sat on a Dominator.
Is the seat cushion foam or rubber like?
Does it seem durable?
Looks like it's about 3/8" thick and like a sponge.
I know it's not going to be as comfortable as my Commando.

Beautiful bike! Congratulations!

Its more neoprene like than sponge. Its durable, no scratches or scuffs from jeans at least anyway. Is it comfortable? I'd have to say for what it is yes. I mean I didn't find myself moving around or adjusting my position to get more comfortable. If its any comparison its more like the seat on my Ducati 998 . I dont believe anyone will be buying these bikes for comfort really :D

I agree. Bin the license bracket.
The rest is a very sweet ride!

Cheers.

It is but it was recommended to Norton that they come up with something similar for the Dominator as the bike is often used as a commute bike here in the States. Their engineering department is working to come up with something equivalent for the Dominator.

That would be great. I always thought the dominator seat was way to spartan.

I see you are in NYC. Hit a nice pothole and then let us know how comfy that seat is. There are a couple of us nearby. Let us know when you want to do a Norton hang either to Bear Mtn. or east for a beach run.
My bike should be ready in a few weeks and the leg repaired in a month or so. :?
