Time to install the gas tank. I have the usual rubber buffers that wrap around the frame tubes. Six. Only the rear 2 are making contact with the gas tank.
At the front there is a steel bracket on the tank (stock) and it bears directly on the steel frame bracket...no rubber mounting. I can use one of the rubber washers from a commando but any more and the tank will be tilted to the rear. Not sure what's going on here. The other buffers are not even limiting side to side movement.

Dunno about the Dominator, but the Atlas tank uses two wrap around rubber bumpers at the rear, and each front mount has two rubber washers top and bottom of the frame bracket.
Additionally, there is a rubber O ring that ties down the rear of the tank by looping around the frame cross tube and over a lip on the tank.

You will find part numbers here, but no pictures...... pg 27 for 61-62 models

You may have posted elsewhere but wideline or slimline frame and tank?
The 6 x frame mounted buffers sound like wideline, the description of the tank landing on brackets at the front sounds more like a slimline?

It is a slimline. I worked with it last night and came up with the same method as stated above. All is well. Thanks for the confirmation.
