No joke. Its being shipped as we speak. Its not a Domiracer or an SS or the "Naked" its the regular Dominator. I've been trawling through the postings here in the 961 section and all the progress that has been made put my mind at ease to pull the trigger. It comes with 2 sets of pipes (a set of peashooters and a shorter race type). I'll be sticking with the race type for the moment and maybe opt for the open megaphones that are available from the factory down the road. I think I'll get the aluminum tank first tho . This bike comes with a plastic tank, not thats a bad thing just the other tank is handsome.I'll post pix when it lands

Good for you ! The plastic tank might make a better touring tank because you can attach a QR tank bag ? Or just use straps with the aluminum. ALUMINUM TANK = 2400 pounds = 3100 USD .

Big advantage of the alluminum tank for touring is the larger volume, though. Plus 4 litres...

I didn't know that . So , that means the aluminum tank 5 US gallons or more ? I think I can safely get to about 3.5 Gallons on the Plastic tank without completely running out of gas . Can someone else confirm this ? Does this also mean the aluminum tank can safely get to 4.5 Gallons ?

Good news:Latest tracking update indicates its only 54mi away
Bad news:Shipper usually calls the day before to confirm drop off and there was no call today

Congratulations!
I put the aluminum tank on my Commando SF. It's a work of art!
I myself just ordered a naked dominator yesterday. Where did you purchase the dominator from?

What made you decide to go with the regular dominator and not a SS or naked?
I ordered a naked and you got me thinking if I made a wrong choice.
I like the bare finish on the naked and the brushed aluminum tank, but I also like the black frame and polished tank on the dominators. I put a polished aluminum tank on my 2016 SF and I have to say I love the look of it.

The SS has a larger front fender, no rear fender, the side panel below the seat (with the 15 holes) is on opposite compared to the dominator and naked. Not a big deal and can be swapped around, I like it how it's mounted on the SS better.

The naked has smaller turn signals front and rear (looks like LED), has front and rear fenders.

I'm not sure if I'll get tired of a bare frame compared to a painted frame.
The painted frame looks classic, the bare frame looks raw and shows off the welds and workmanship. Either way the dominator is a bad ass bike.

Can we get the SS here? if so I dont think its street legal. I never got a reply as regards availability or prices in the US but it was speculated at around $50K. No one has ever confirmed this nor have I seen anyone in the States with one. I didn't know the Naked was available in the USA til last week. By then I had the deal done. The Naked is a fine bike also. TBH I'd like a combination of the two. Glossy carbon,Matt tank and Black frame. Like someone said earlier you cant go wrong with either of these bikes. When I saw #1 (Pics below) at the Isle of Man TT 2014 it was love at first sight. I said if they ever make anything like that for the regular punter I'm getting one.

You can't buy a new domiracer now.
I agree all the norton bikes are beautiful and I now have both a Commando sf and soon my Naked will bet here. Honestly the domiracer isn't much different then a dominator. Tach only no speedo, 1-50 produced not much else.

No pics but the Dominator is in the Empire State. Arrived in the middle of a torrential downpour in what must be the wettest day of the year. On top of that the battery was dead. Cant say I was very happy TBH but in reality my Ducati will drain a battery too if its left untouched for a fortnight. Anyway its kinda cool the way the voltage reads on the dash albeit 9V :(
With no more time to play I left it on the charger and will fire it up tomorrow. Its still cats and dogs here so cant go anywhere anyway.
