Hydraulic Clutch the easy way.

Neat idea but ebay model looks like a pull cable cylinder while CNW/Comstock version is a pusher plunger compact cylinder in gear box. Might be engineering head ache with ebay type, don't know of course. Dream machines sure love growing bigger leaks on funds and time.

No engineering headache, it's a simple screw-in where the cable abutment goes on the tranny cover. Definitely less work than the pusher rig.

Ohhh, ok, its a wart that sticks up on top of gear box, duh, thanks.

I've been looking for parts for my monoshock build. I wanted a hydraulic clutch, but the CNW kit is way out of my price range. This option lookls good, I might just order one.
Good catch spotting this one and a great idea. I hope it wasn't you who was trying to beat him down on the price. (see the questions on his ad. : )
One could easily pay $27.00 for a hydraulic hose alone.

$36.90 shipped is dirt cheap. I might actually order 2 of them, it's almost cheaper than a clutch cable, which both bikes are in need of.

OK, I purchased one. I'll put it on my Yamaha when it arrives and give a report on it. I don't think it will be a road test untill the thaw. I tried to get the bike going yesterday, it's too cold for it. The 3 batteries I tried are all dead. And when I kick start it all I get it kickback or .5 sec of running. I'll have to preheat it if I want to ride it any time soon.

Hi,
It appears to be well made (at least in the photos). Unfortunately you will have no way of knowing how this units lever travel to slave cylinder travel ratio will work on a Norton clutch until you actually mount it and give it a try. It would be a bummer to find that the pull is the same or stiffer than stock and/or the clutch will no longer fully disengage.

I figure it should work on one of my bikes, and less than $40, you get a SS line with it.

Yep, I ordered a second one; what the heck, I had paypal play money on hand...

It is the system I have for 5 years on my Commando... No problem so far (I have a Magura for cr250)

When you guys get the kit, could you let us know the travel generated by the slave cylinder, please?

The unit sold on Ebay has an eye to eye length of 900mm (34") on the hydraulic line. Meant for pocket rockets and the like.

Mine arrived today. Looks good value for the money. the line is about a foot too short, no big problem. I'll report more on it once I start using it.

Perfect for Mark III rear brake line replacement, which I needed anyway!
