Those dashed clever Japanese have been playing with our Norton - bit of a cheek if you ask me, as they were responsible for killing the marque off back in the 70’s!!

Check out what Autoprestige of Japan have been up to on Instagram @

and Youtube @

Plus others.

Includes a very nice Domi like exhaust with frame extention no less - I want one.
Aluminium tank - with nice paint scheme
Alternate headlight and cowl
More discreet long pipes
Various carbon bits etc

Nice bits.
But the Japanese didn't kill off Norton.
That took corporate dolts in management who pushed to produce the 750 Combat.
That was the final nail in Norton's coffin.

So you’re saying the Japanese didn’t effect British or American bike sales? Lol really?

@Stephen_Spencer I've looked at their gear before and believe they have their tanks made by a company called "Beater" CLICKHERE

To my eye they do a nice curve to the "point" on the bottom of the tank.

Hey Gojuu, yes I spotted that also, nicely done. Really looking forward to seeing the TAB tank in the flesh.

Only joking about the demise of Norton and other British marques. A failure of management/leadership and a reluctance to adapt and modernise - don’t need to look too much further. Can’t blame our Japanese cousins for building better bikes, that people wanted to buy!

British bike industry..
Slowest suicide in history!

I’m not seeing much of a difference between the factory aluminum tank and the Beaters tank as far as shape goes.

Our Japanese friends have been busy turning out a few quality looking accessories for the 961. I’m likin’ the carbon tail unit and airbox. Impossible to tell whether they are assemblies or just covers.
Having had a good look at the structural nature of the tail unit, I suspect just a carbon cover on the tail.

The 961 has gotta be pretty low volume in Japan, so quite surprised if there’s much of a market; there doesn’t seem to be much marketing effort for overseas sales. I’ll contact them and provide the feedback - ya know, for the carbon fetishists amongst us!!
