As you know the rebuilt of my Commando was finished some months ago BUT.. . While testing my mechanic lost the keys for the new NCW seat... Having to deal with Corbin poor Matt was able to give me a new lock 3 months after I contacted him (and I rather have him dealing with Corbin than me, even if it is only 60 miles away from where I live!).
Then, still testing , the new front pulley, Norvin, sheared the key away (why??? If anyone can offer an answer!) and it took another amount of time to get a new pulley...
Now ??? I just have to try to ride the beast.... I am scared but I'll try! (if the ES was available from France!!!).

Come on now, you have GOT to offer some detailed picts for us to scrutinize. The little i can see has me itching.
LOOKS GREAT!

Menthtol color scheme cool. The crank pulley resists torque only by the fit of their tappers not really the keyway so suspect crank or pulley tapper mismatch. Hope you are done burning off karma to finally get to Norton Nirvana.

PRE zooming yr refering to the Crankshaft Sprocket , Can pay to Lap the New part , to fit . Fine grinding paste . BRIEFLY .
Check with Blue . This is after checking it all for BURRs , can pay on other taperred shaft / seat / cone componentry also .

Nice bike . Pull a few wheelies and youll have it ! :P .

I know this has been quite a climb. I am looking forward to a full report. The bike looks great!

Yes, both surface should be clean and dry. No lube, no anti sneeze and no sealants.

Take the burr off both the shaft and pulley key ways.

Dry fit without key in place feel for homeyness. That is to say that you can tell if it will grab when nutted up.

Make sure there are no spacers missing that would but up to the pulley to secure it.

Shimms are some time required, see 31,32,33.

So true.... It was raining today and I took the modern wonder for a ride: after 70 miles it gave me a few error codes, went into limp mode! I had to switch off , wait 30 sec to reset the computer and re start it.... Missing Amal and Lucas from time to time!

That may be the best thing about Lucas and Amal, no error codes.

Not sure you could have enough memory to contain all the error codes
