Corey says that Clint picture is from the inside back cover of the October 2007 issue of Classic Bike magazine. It is only about 5" square, so would most likely not make a good poster if blown up. If anyone knows Clint or his friends or has some inroads to MGM, maybe they could find out who made that picture and we could go from there. Then we would get into the owners rights on the picture too.

If anyone has any contacts, maybe even with the magazine, it may be worth a try.

I have seen 2 other pictures of clint on a norton recently, but I didn't snag them. They both have clint and a woman 2up, one is from about the same angle as above, and one is from the back... Anyone else see them before?

What about Keanu?

his ProdDy was on Ebay a few weeks a go.

Hero? Maybe not. But I certainly can't fault a guy with more than a minor interest in Nortons just because he's famous and had some dorky roles. Every time I see a photo of him on a bike he's on a Norton. Good for him.

Nothing wrong with keanu. He likes to ride, likes to play bass and make music, stays out of the media...other than that I don't know much about him, but seems like a cool guy to me.

I think he's cool as heck for being into old bikes and living the way he does being famous. He made a ton of money during his career and is more successful than most of us could hope to be.

Not to turn into a Keanu love-fest, but after filming the Matrix he gave Harleys to each of the stuntmen as a way of saying thanks. So maybe not a mcy hero, but a definite "righteous dude". For one of the Matrix sequels he gave bonuses to the costume / special effects people because he felt they made everyone look good but were underpaid. When asked about the amount he was giving away (something on the order of 50 million) he said something to the effect that the movies were making him so much money, it was the last thing he was worried about.

I should have a copy of the magazine, I remember the photo, I'll try and find it.

Gave him directions once back in the early 70's. I was working on a car off the street when a beige Morris Marina pulled up, the driver asking for directions to Eric Cheney's (off road frame builder) workshop. I told him where it was, about a mile down the road. About 5 mins later I realised who it was but at the time it didn't click! Knew the face but couldn't place him. How dumb and I'd seen a couple of his films. Think he'd been filming in Europe.

Love the photos of movie stars on "S" models. As an owner of a 1970 "S" I to would like copies for the man cave.

Hey, boz, can I add your 'S' to my list. number and date would be great, picture even better.

Can anyone tell what that decal is on the 'S' petrol tank that Steve is sitting on?

I enlarged the photo and it looks to me that there is a standard Norton logo on the tank. The image is not real clear but I think what is going on under the logo is a reflection of something light colored.
Next time I am out in the shop I will jot down the vin # of my "S". No pictures right now as it is not together. Hope to be ready for riding this spring or summer. I plan on attending the INOA this summer in New York.

I think you're right, you can just see the curve of the logo. It appears like reflections of 2 windows or light colored objects below that.
