Heartbeat

Look up Egton and Egton bridge north Yorkshire. A friend of mine lives opposite one of the sets and at the rear they had a marquee type tent for filming. Plenty of classic vehicles through the village when it was still a series. Good local hostelry too.

I do not know if my friend is still alive. There is silence on the end of the line. But thanks for the info you guys have posted - he seems to have got some enjoyment from it. We all get our turn to go. I think he led a good life.

I have the full series of Heartbeat on DVD plus its repeated on TV every afternoon during the week, but for some reason they keep repeating the first series with Nick Berry, I love watching it but it get beyond it watching the same first series over and over again wish they repeated the later series when they started to ride the BSA police bike, but I like the full series because of all the old bikes, cars, music and of course all the young girls wearing their so short skirts and dress and of course life in the late 50s/60s and 70s was so simple, no mobil phones or computers and you were able to fix things with basic tools.
Al I hope your friend is still breathing, but of course we all got to go sometime.

Ashley
