Hi.
The stock gasket has a side with letters stamped: this side goes up to the head or down to del cylinder?
Do you use a sealant or fit it dry?.
Thank you.
Piero

Wen you say 'stock' what do you mean? Who made it? Reason I ask, is that my 850 gasket was from AN and it said TOP on it which made it very easy to see which way round it was meant to go!

I fitted mine dry, and scrupulously clean, and its been perfect.

I got 2 AN head gaskets a few weeks ago and both where clearly marked with the word "TOP" in white letters.

Mick Hemmings told me he always put thin coating of Wellseal on both sides of gasket so i did the same.

Another question, please.
Works the AN flame gasket with +0,60 pistons or the gaskt rings are too tight?
In case, who sypply a gasket for use +0,60 pistons?.
Thank you.
Ciao
Piero

Piero, the standard head gasket can be used for any size rebore within the standard parameters. That means up to and including plus 60. I have used standard gaskets numerous times with rebored pistons with no issues.
