I'm hunting down effects of counter rotation of flywheels on different axis of rotation with conflicting precession vectors as concerns resisting motorcycle lean angle change. This has nothing to do with just staying upright in line that's pure geometry and ballistic momentum. Here's one article with some balancing insights I'll be watching for.

Found another that helps along the lines I'm pondering. If one is launched sideways in the air at a giving angle, would the bike tend to keep at that angle or keep leaning more so not hit down on tires at same angle as first left the surface. Reverse of this is resisting reaching the proper lean/launch angle in time. I've got 5 major gyros but only one I can reverse the spin on.

More down to Earth on gryo and leaning and resistance or assistance to change.

My mouth started watering, imagining Tzaziki sauce and thinly sliced lamb in a pita sandwich...

Yeah but what oil do ya use?

Tease on this all ya like but realize its not funny to me on Peel when going so fast its a given to crash if on ordinary cycles that are limited to mere counter steering two tires in contact boredoms. Will spin up Peel's alternator to get a sense of its gyro effects. Will spin up her front wheel in forks and see what moving forks fast feels like. Sorry if seems a joke to ya but deadly serious fun to me.

Hobot, think the alternator does not spin fast enough to have any influence and its mass compared to the rest of the bike is too low. Moving a spinning wheel by itself will show a dramatic gyro effect, but clamp it to the forks and that force does not seem to be as strong. If gyro forces were a major influence on handling, wheel sizes would have been reduced a long time ago don't you think?

Jean, this is Peel's deal not a normal Cdo, her alternator is heavier than Lucas and will be geared to spin like 10,000 rpm at 7000 redline, but do note its a smaller OD rotor so may not be noticed as you say. I actually have some sense of the gryo effects from jumps on my P!! going forward and Peel going sideways in air. Mainly only felt trying to change fork direction fast while in contact but nothing happens flipping forks once in air. Blip of throttle or rear brake tap changes pitch attitude though. I can drive Peel's alternator either direction so why not counter to the wheels and crank.
