I did not get or see the link ?
what is the difference of a Mk11 and MK 111 ?
did all commandos have a MK number ?

A Mk11 750 starting in the 140 number range would be associated with 1970.
A Mk111 750 starting in the 141 number range would be associated with 1971.

I don't think anyone really knows what was going on including people who say they worked at the factory.

Not according to the linked page.

Once again the OP bike has a 140xxx number.

Once again the OP bike has a wide spaced 140xxx number with a Mar 1971 (it seems stamp)
Unlikely at best.

Bikes were not exported from the UK with blank date stamp boxes so US dealers could stamp them as they pleased as seems to be suggested.
I certainly didn't suggest that!. The date was certainly stamped by Norton.

In the US, when the dealer applied for the original title the VIN and year made they put on that application ended up on the title. Triumph had actual model years and data codes in the VIN. Still I have four Tridents and all four have the wrong year on the title.

The PT6 sounds like just a little over powered :D. I fly a Business Jet for a living now and own a 182 for a personal plane. I don't keep up with experimental types but am aware of the Lancair. One of my colleagues has built a few experimental types but now concentrates on restoring Stearmans. His work is just beautiful; show winners at Sun&Fun, etc. We're both A&P, IAs so it's enjoyable to crew together.

Gear boxes aren't too complicated. Most can accomplish it with modest abilities.
Two of the premier builders,
Might as well have them do the seal upgrades for the kicker and shifter.

One of the premier painters is,

I'm sure there are plenty of others.
