Fullauto Technologies heads

$1700 USD, I know of less Chrysler straight 6's than Nortons in the area. That's an awfully small market, and the price seems very reasonable despite that.

Just as matter of curiosity, how do the published [anybody got them for the Fullauto?] flow figures for both heads compare? Obviously the individual cylinders are bigger on the Chrysler, but the specific output hp/Ltr & powerband rev range-wise are quite similar..& the price? Hmmmmm...

Where are they made?

If you can fit one on your Norton then go for it.

another fine Australian product. I think we are all thinking there must be something in the water there. Industrious little buggers.

Ok, so tell me what a 750 head costs so I can punish myself over what I've just spent in getting my current head overhauled only to find it's still weeping oil out an exhaust guide and may yet end up being junk.

Fullauto asks: Where are they made?'' - Why not contact them & ask how they do it for that price [ & so,- how does it compare with yours?], maybe they`ve got some useful tips...

Mate, get this into perspective. There is a difference between a car head and the Commando head.It is a complex one-piece head with integral rocker housing and internal fins. I know the designer of the FullAuto Heads, the effort that went into it I;ve seen the casting line and the 15 pattern boxes that slot togther like a Rubic's cube to produce a raw head. Then there is the machining to follow. Its an impressive set up and the design works is first class. And the one design covers both 750 and 850 patterns. Then, for commercial reasons you have to recognise the market is small and the payback has to get a whole heap of heads sold before its a viable business. And if its not, we the end-user miss out.

Yes, I can see the difference between Detroit & Bracebridge St production casting design [-or even Meriden Triumph, for that matter], but the Poms wouldn`t have spent too bloody much on doing it in the 1st place, - its not a DOHC Manx, & we still haven`t seen the numbers...or are they... mind blowing?

Comnoz posted flow numbers for a number of Commando heads, including the Fullauto head. If you search on the forum, I'm sure you can find the thread.

The FullAuto flowed higher velocity across the band not the most over all flow like Maney's, so better in most broad scope uses except fastest least technical tracks and land speed events that are mostly all WOT.

When ya add in the effects of Central Banksters and their hired Gov't's inflation stealing from all of us, the new heads are a bargain compared to past higher value 'money' buying power. Commandos have evolved from a obsolete low cost bike into exotic expensive collectors item. Same amount of gold or silver coins could buy about same amounts of parts then as now.

Months ago when I called CNW to order my 850 head I was told that they were sold out and they were waiting for the new batch to arrive, they also told me there would be a price increase from $2300 to $2600.

is there a website to look over the details?

See CNW's site. Or, PM me and I'll send you the specs.

I had to dig a bit to find that the Hemi heads are actually made in Australia which is a great thing. I see that all their design and manufacture is in-house which makes them somewhat cheaper to produce. I have had to fork out design, development and manufacturing costs for a project that nobody else wanted to take on. Some four years down the track I am not even close to recouping my development costs, let alone actually make some money. If you think I have an inefficient business then look at the facts. No premises. No bank loans. No company car. Virtually no travel. No website. Not even a business card. My only overheads are postage and my accountant. And I'm still not in front. I have a normal job which doesn't pay much and do the heads as a part time, possibly one day make some money scheme.

Have I ordered my Lamborghini yet? Nope. Any profits will go into my next project, aluminium cylinder barrels for 850s and then other parts that I think Norton owners need, which will be designed and manufactured to amazingly high standards which will be appreciated by those who shell out the dollars. So, if anybody thinks they can do a better job and actually make some money, then be my guest.
