Just picked up my fiberglass from my painter! I am really happy with how the color combo turned out! I know this is a "too each there own" type of thing but thought i would share.. I went with a "semi gloss" finish to kinda keep that "vintage" look..

Cheers!

I hope those are the style of sidecovers that the top edge is horizontal when mounted on the bioke, and the decals appear horizontal when the bike is on the stand.

Too many great looking paint jobs have been ruined by not noticing that the top edges of some sidecovers are NOT horizontal when mounted, but they set at an angle.

"Blackhills" - are we going to see this machine in Wyoming in July? With this name you seem to be close to Buffalo, Wy. Curious to see how the whole machine looks with that strange tank and JPN tail piece.

Good info on the side covers.. Yes! i made sure to give the painter a picture of the sidecovers installed so they would be correct.. That would be very frustrating.

I live in Rapid City, SD.. Hoping to get final assembly done in the next couple months.. (dont hold me to that.. HAHAHAHA) What is going on in WY in July?

Wait! It's a Commando. Isn't is supposed to be black with Gold?

I like the color combo and the fact that it is not super glossy. It has a retro look to it.

Just looked up the event! 212 miles away? I'm in! I have some work to do...

Well duh...I should live that close. Get to it.

Nice color combo, Is that a Prody racer tank or a large Dunstall one. I have one of each & can't decide between them witch one to use but I like the larger one like yours I think. What are you coating the inside with?

I used Caswell tank sealer from Colorado Norton works before I sent it into paint. seems like pretty good stuff?

Fingers crossed. Keep a sharp eye out for bubbles, orange peel, etc. on your new paint job. I they appear you may need a second application.
