In Dark Mode, at least on my laptop, it is difficult to tell which threads have unread messages.

I agree, which is why I mentioned that I miss the little button that used to indicate that in each thread title.

Ok this has been resolved. I was able to program "New" by unread threads. If you want to start from scratch click Forums> Mark forums read

In light theme, almost all the tick box descriptive text is white on white. It wasn't that way yesterday.
