I love that clip too, but in reality when you're racing you have to beat the other rider / driver, not just their machine, right. Shoot just look at the thread here about the old triumph 500 and the go fast boyz from the shed who went to the Belgian grand prix and gave the big factory guys a run for their money.
 
I remember going on a deployment to Kuwait for an Air Force contract, and this guy with us was single, so he'd just dropped a huge chunk of change on a Nissan GTR twin turbo ultrafast, hi horse power, fire breathin' jewel, right before going down range again. And he used to watch youtube videos of Corvettes and Vipers, Porsche's and whatever else saying "I can beat that one and this one". He didn't believe me when I said you have to beat the other driver not just that car. I don't think he'd ever been out on a track.
 
If people put Triumph engines in helicopters...

I have seen one of these engines
It was a blueprinted thunderbird ,it had a high delivery oil pump
Fixed advance
Special locked clutch
Hand gearchange etc
