I'm in the process of restoring one, and was hoping someone could give me a picture and the length of the Dzus fasteners for the tank cover. I have the receptacle, but didn't get the fasteners with the bike.

CRUD!

I just clicked on my link was reminded that my old photo host site is GONE.

The resto thread INFO is all still good, just NO PIX. So, treat it like a Playboy magazine I guess... (not for the pictures, just the articles)

Yes, been there. I did sell it though. Rattles too much. I call them Arctic Snow Frog. The dzus studs are pretty short…not more than 1/2”.

Any JPN owners out there?

Mine was nearly complete, missing the Dzus screws and the left sidecover. The bike itself is finished and running, waiting on the body work to be painted. It came with a set of new decals, but I had new sets made. I wasn't sure the original sets would be good. I have the parts supplement, but there are no part numbers for the Dzus stuff, they aren't even shown on the pages.

Wow, just noticed that.

I never gave it a second thought because I had all the ones I needed, and some spares that I sold to a guy...

Sorry

Bugger..was looking forward to that...

I have it all on fecebook, and maybe also BritBike.com.

I suppose this weekend I can attach all the original files using the onboard AccessNorton feature, ONE AT A TIME...
That would be good thanks as I don't use Faceache
Could you tell me what tank did Kenny used on his first specials please?

Custom moulded Acerbis plastic tanks with fiberglass shells. I think he sold all the moulds to Airtech Streamlining, but I'm not positive. I'm pretty sure Airtech offers the 'glass bits including the tail/seat

I have a 15 page PDF file on Dzus, but I am not sure I can download it here. There is alot to digest. Do you have the clip on receptacles? There is also a approximately 1/4" thick by about 3/8" wide foam pad between the bodywork edges that takes up thickness , you need to consider.

I have a catalog from a company that sells multiple types of Dzus fasteners. I do have the receptacles. I didn't see any sign of a foam pad that would have been between the fairing and the cover, but that makes sense to do so to protect the paint.

There was no foam originally. Fiberglass to fiberglass with the dzus fasteners.
