Footpeg angle

Any original owners out there with bikes that have never been dropped that can confirm whether the foot pegs should be slightly angled up or dead horizontal? I was going to straighten some out before rechroming when it occurred to me that they perhaps should be bent up slightly.

Slightly angled up say 1 degree, flat makes you think your feet are going to slide off.

My Mk2 pegs look more than 1 degree when bolted together, are yours original and undropped?
