Dang old hard bald front couldn't take it so I chickened out and we rode it off all day in paradise instead. Next time before cords showing will bump nose against something but shouldn't have too once tire enough on front and I dump clutch harder. Naked and picturing a leaping launch hook up was on my mind. Main deal beside not pressing loads on old tires is they get puncture prone, ugh. Wesley as head shaking camera man again.

Just some soot out the RH but no smoke as on first start up on LH lately, huh?

Easier to do on THE gravel  one thing though, no neighbors to annoy

Jean

Just pulling your chain cuz you can ride in short sleeves while I need full body armor when and IF it's dry

I gotta ask.
Why the hell do you beat your bike so bad?
It is just painful to watch. Dude!

He is getting some practice in for drag racing against riders of Jap sportsbikes, and as his bike will run a faster 1/4 mile time than an R1, has a good chance of winning some serious money doing this.

Is your front tyre made from bakelite?
By some new tyres before you hurt yourself badly.
graeme

Makes you wonder how on earth he is able to beat Jap supersports bikes at the drag strip, on a bike without enough power to do a rolling burn out?

a pox on you for wasting my time on this thread (as per usual)

perhaps you should talk to your medical professionals and have your med's increased

Most people don't realize their own shortcomings. To others its painfully obvious.

You're not doing it right. Stand up and get your weight way forward, like doing a motocross start. Then dump the clutch and watch the parts go flying! Errr, I mean enjoy the smoke cloud.

BTW, what's up with the avatar? Is that you crash testing poor Trixie?

Note to self: never buy a used bike from hobot!

Debby

Not entirely sure that Hobot has ever taken part in serious competition, even though he always seems to be suggesting his latest creation is far faster than Jap bikes with 3-4 times as much power, as well as proper handling and brakes that actually work?

Be interested to see either some times posted on here, or for him to cease suggesting that a old Brit road bike with perhaps 45-50bhp at the rear wheel, is able to shut down a modern machine with 150-200bhp.

+1

One needs to be totally committed to the burn out, when you come to the point of needing to pull this off for whatever reason?

1) Be sure rpm's are at least 6,000
2) Be sure clutch is in proper adjustment.
3) Be sure you have a clear path in front of you of at least 100 yds.
4) Be sure you stilll want to do this.
5) Do as Debby said and stand up.
6) Be sure you have a firm grip and dump the clutch!

After this if everything is still in one piece and the smoke has cleared you gotta ask yourself, What the hell am i doing???????

Why have your avatar being a photo of you crashing?

In 45 years of riding, I have never, ever crashed or gone down, and if I did, I sure would be so embarrassed at my lack of riding ability as to not promote the event.

Well gotta go teach some modern elites some lessons on my 40 year old long stroke parallel twin.

"Well gotta go teach some modern elites some lessons on my 40 year old long stroke parallel twin" says it all about Hobot really!

Feet on pegs is a good start. Even though the burnout failed Im sure a few of the naysayers wouldnt be able to ride that far with the front locked up

Not sure too many people on here would want to imitate hobots lunacy?
