Recently seen a Suzuki Bandit with a Subaru Impreza turbo fitted. That turbo was tiny and did not take up much room - you know someones just going to try it on a commando!!

Can't hurt to have Joe take a look at this. They have a "few" records from back in the day.

I sent him an email.

He has already posted here....
And thought it unlikely, but will ask some folks.

As Kens contact has suggested already, IF this is genuine it is most probably a dealership built bike. Still of great interest if this is so.

Right, I asked Richard Negus and Norman White. Both deny ever having heard anything about this project.

I think we can safely assume this had nothing to do with Norton Motors Ltd in England. Norman White writes: "Im wondering if some bright spark over at NVC, Paramount Boulevard might have had a go."

Though I may be unjust I have yet to encounter said "bright spark". Certainly the two gentlemen in charge- whom I know- were anything but technically minded- their job was to sell the beasts, not to wrench blowers on.

As I may have said elsewhere, we have drawings of my "Commando Tripple", the balancer engine Duckworth rode for "Classic Bike" last year. I have yet to find blower drawings or even fitting component drawings for same. Another indication this did not come from the factory.
