Hi again everyone sorry I seem to be hogging the board at the moment but new bike with so much to see, get, and find out, I have a 1960 slimline triton running pre unit T110 bottom end, bonnie 9 stud top end alternator primary cases and AMC gearbox firstly can anyone recommend a reasonably priced place for a complete set of rearsets, at the moment the bike is running siamese pipes and one goldie I want to change to swept backs and twin goldies can anyone recommend a place to buy them and what exactly do I need to order as pre unit bottom end, unit top end and AMC box I would imagine the head outlets are the same unit or pre unit but positioning of engine will make a lot of difference to ordering unit or pre unit pipes many thanks Chris

I presume you're in UK Chris?
If so, where?
You could do a LOT worse than call Dave Degens, the Triton grand master.
He has stocks of pre formed swept back pipes, un-chromed and without the head stub parts attatched.
He then sets them up on the bike and brazes on the ex stub parts and mounting lugs in situ.
This gives the perfect angle and line for your bike. Impoosible to achieve 'off the shelf'.
He has also developed his own way of mounting them based on his 24hr endurance racing experience.
He will also be able supply and or fit your rearsets.
There are cheaper options, but lets be honest, 9 out of 10 Tritons are badly let down by droopy ex pipes etc! Spending a little more here is what sets the best apart from the rest!

I finally managed to contact Dresda and the reception I got was not very encouraging apparently a slimline frame is not any more value than its weight in scrap he is not sure of prices but goldies about £200 each, tailor made swept backs price by quotation after inspection and no rear sets for AMC boxes so I do not think I will heading down there in the near future, if anyone has fitted swept backs and goldies and were pleased with what they got please let me know where from and exactly what they ordered many thanks Chris

Good condition slimline frames with swingarm fetch near $1,000 in the US, so don't believe what you've been told.

I have bought and sold several for $1,000; more, depending on powdercoat/paint, etc.

How did your conversation turn to the topic of the value of slimline frames?

Sounds a shame, Dave produces top notch workmanship (in my experience), here's one I built with him to race, and then put on the road...

The mention of slimline frame was brought into it when I was explaining my set up I have no doubt that he is an expert in triton experiences but to be quite honest I felt I was being spoken down to and did not realy appreciate it but thanks for your help which I have no doubt was offered with the best intentions Chris
